These are the bricks we have chosen, Selkirk Coastal Stone. We have been worried about these but were lucky to see a house on the weekend in them with a grey roof, which we are doing woodland grey and loved it. Roof, gutters, downpipes, fascias and windows are all going to be woodland grey. Such a relief. We never knew how many decisions need to be made when building a house and the big ones that are unchangeable down the track need to be right!!

This is the floor tile we are doing throughout, it looks quite silver in this photo, however it is black with a sliver shimmer to it. Looks stunning, was in the display we saw. The carpet is also a similar colour to whats in the photo.

So this is pretty much the colour scheme for the house. Going greys, whites and greens. The splashback in the kitchen is pretty out there. Going Dulux Techno Green, the small mosaics are what is going in the butlers pantry to tie back with the kitchen. Kitchen benches are Caeserstone White Shimmer with polar white cupboards in the pantry and the island and the back wall of draws, oven tower etc is Formica ashphalt. Walls are a grey based white with white arcs.

Well thought it was time for us to start our own blog for the new home we are building. This all began in February when we visited the JG King display home of the Embassy in Ballarat. We fell in love!!

The Embassy 255 with a couple of alterations is the floor plan. We have added the grand alfresco and extended the floor of the alfresco out 2 & 3 metres either side, not under roof. The powder room we deleted (like im going to clean 3 toilets!!) and enlarged the WIR (as im happy to fill it with shoes and handbags). We also added 1m to the side of the garage for storage. We rearranged the ensuite so the shower is behind the vanity, the bath is now against the wall with a large window above it.

I guess this will all make sense when i post the floor plans

We are building in northern Victoria on a 1 acre block we purchased. Signed contracts last week are are just waiting for unconditional finance approval.
